Key responsibilities

1.Be responsible for all procurement-related administration:

  • To ensure that all systems are up to date with the necessary information.
  • To record and track all purchase orders.
  • To aid and update the style cards
  • To keep all file systems up to date and in good working order.
  1. To manage all samples successfully during the entire merchandising cycle:
  • To effectively handle all samples received and dispatched – To organize and maintain samples and sample rails on a continuous basis
  • To assist with all responsibilities relating to the management of samples on an ongoing basis.
  1. Effectively communicate with all important internal and external customers/role players/key relationships and follow-up:
  • To aid in the management of mana

Skills and knowledge:

  • Effectively communicates both inside and outside the company 
  • Builds and maintains relationships 
  • Resilient and maintain high levels of drive and initiative under pressure 
  • Prioritize and be Assertive – Work independently as well as in a team – Is proactive, deadline-driven, and adaptable to change 
  • Has sound planning, organizing, and time management skills
  • Is able to be “hands on” when the buyer is travelling 

4. Provide general assistance to the Buyer/s: – To continuously assist and support the buyer during all stages of the Merchandising Cycle
